How to export Wix product SEO titles and meta descriptions to a spreadsheet

You want every product’s SEO title and meta description in one sheet, to review them or to rewrite them. Here is what Wix offers, where it stops, and one way to get the file.

Short answer

  • Wix has no built-in export for the SEO titles and meta descriptions you wrote. Its help center says it is not possible to export a list of the SEO tags you added to your pages. It is an open feature request [1].
  • The product CSV does not help. Its fields have no SEO title or meta description [2]. A forum reply from January 2025 says it is not possible yet [3]. The bulk edit guide covers the CSV and the products list in more detail.
  • The products list in SEO Settings is a table to read. I found no export button described there [4].
  • A site crawler can list the live titles and descriptions. Wix’s own SEO guide points to one for comparing them across pages [5]. It reads what search engines see, not what is saved on each product.
  • An app can write the saved values into a file. That is the last section.
Getting product SEO text into a spreadsheet The Wix product CSV has no SEO columns. The app's CSV has the current title and description of each loaded product next to two new columns to edit. You edit the new columns and load the file back for a preview. Wix product CSV No SEO title or meta description column App CSV: title_now, description_now, … plus title_new and description_new to edit Load it back and check the preview Nothing is written until you confirm

The figure shows why the product CSV falls short. It carries the product fields and leaves the SEO text out.

What Wix lets you do

  1. Copy the products list by hand. It is in SEO Settings, in the products section, on the Edit by Page tab. Each row of the Edit by Page table shows the title tag and meta description [4]. For a few dozen products that is fine.
  2. Export the products. On the products page choose More Actions, then Import, then Export Products. It works for fields such as prices and stock [2]. Do not expect SEO text in it.
  3. Crawl the live site. A crawler can pull the title and meta description of every page into a sheet [5]. It shows what is live. A product with no title of its own shows Wix’s default title there, so you cannot tell which titles are empty. Wix’s default product description is blank [6], so a crawl should show products with no description as having none, unless you set a default description for product pages.

Menu names change, so check them in your own dashboard. Wix says planned features can change or be cancelled at any time [1].

Where this stops

If you want the file

The app Product SEO Bulk Editor has a section called “Edit in a spreadsheet (CSV)”. Press “Download CSV” and you get one file with a line for every product the app loaded (up to 2,000). The columns are id, name, title_now, description_now, title_new and description_new. The two “_now” columns hold what is saved on the product. The two “_new” columns start as a copy. A product with no title of its own has an empty cell.

You can stop there and keep the file as a record. Nothing is written by downloading. To change text, edit the “_new” columns in Excel or Google Sheets and press “Load an edited CSV”. The app then shows the usual preview with the current and the new text side by side. You tick the products to change, and a run can be undone later. The free plan writes up to 20 products per run. The app skips lines it cannot trust, such as garbled text, a repeated id, an id it does not know or “_now” columns that no longer match the store. It says how many lines were skipped and why, and names up to five of the garbled or changed ones. An empty “_new” cell keeps the current value. Only the title and the description are changed. Save the edited file as “CSV UTF-8”.

Questions

Can Wix export product SEO titles and meta descriptions?

No. Wix’s help center says it is not possible to export a list of the SEO tags you added to your pages, and the request is open.

Does the Wix product CSV include SEO fields?

The Wix help article on exporting and importing products lists no SEO title or meta description among the product fields.

Does downloading the app’s CSV change anything in my store?

No. The download only reads your products. Text is written only after you load a file, check the preview and confirm.

Why is a title_now cell empty?

The product has no title of its own saved, or its saved title tag is marked disabled. For a product with no title, Wix shows its default title, which is the product name followed by the site name unless you changed the default for product pages in SEO Settings.

Why was a line of my CSV skipped?

The app skips lines with garbled text, a repeated id, an id it does not know, or “_now” columns that no longer match the store. A spreadsheet that turns text into numbers or dates can cause the last one. The app says how many were skipped and why.

I read the Wix Help Center, the Wix SEO Learning Hub and the Wix Studio forum on 2026-10-29. I did not click through these steps in a live Wix dashboard. Forum posts are not official Wix documentation, and some replies may come from Wix staff. I did not run the app’s CSV or filters on a real store. Its description follows its code as of 2026-10-29. Wix screens and features change. This page and the app are not affiliated with Wix.
